We all know that living in a house that is a complete mess is not fun at all, but the thought of having to clean it all up can make you go crazy. With Spring cleaning around the corner, now is the best time to clean the house. The best way to do is is to create a plan of action and follow it. Below I will give you five tips to help you get your spring cleaning done faster and better than you ever thought possible.
Have Some Fun:
First things first, you need to change your mindset on spring cleaning. You will never get it done if you are dreading it the whole time, and even if you do get it done, you probably won’t do too great of a job if you have low energy levels while doing it. The best thing you can do is make it fun! Put of your favorite headphones and throw on some dance music, move your body to the beat while cleaning your house. Not only does this make cleaning more enjoyable but it is great exercise and will help you lose weight!
Create A Schedule:
One of the main reasons your house became a mess is probably because you live a very busy life. It is hard to keep up with a job, work, school, kids, ect. Many of us don’t have 5-6 hours of free time to clean the house, and even if we do have free time we just want to sit back and relax and not even think about cleaning. Chances are good many of you keep track of your life through an agenda or calender. If that is the case, you might as well add the cleaning to the calender as well!
It is ok to schedule to cleaning for multiple days, nobody said you have to clean it all in one day. You can even take a full week to do it. For example, on one day clean the bathrooms, the next day clean the kitchen, the next day clean the living room, ect.
Get Your Supplies Ready:
When you decide to do your cleaning, you no doubt want to get it done is fast and as stress free as possible. The problem most people run into is running out of cleaning supplies while they are in the middle of cleaning, then they have to take another hour out of their day just to go pick up cleaning supplies. In order to avoid this, make sure you have everything you need before you start.
This is actually really easy to do, all you need to do is figure out exactly what you will be cleaning, figure out what supplies you will need to clean them, and then purchase however much you think you need. It is always better to over-purchase than under-purchase, you can always use the extra items later.
Keep Yourself Comfortable:
A big issue people have when cleaning is that it becomes too hot and they need to cool off. The main thing that causes this is a simple fact that they aren’t wearing very comfortable clothing. If you wear loose and comfortable clothing you won’t get nearly as hot and you will stay motivated to continue cleaning. Nobody said you have to look your best when cleaning the house!
Make A Plan:
When you fail to plan you plan to fail! This is true with everything in life, including your cleaning. You have probably been guilty of bouncing around from room to room with no real plan on what you are doing. You need to plan out how you are going to clean the house, what order you are going to clean the rooms, and how long it should take you to clean each room.
You don’t have to spend a lot of time doing this, but it has been proven that when you have a plan and set a timeline for each room, you will actually work faster and get the job done much faster than you would if you didn’t set a plan.
These 5 home spring cleaning tips are great because they don’t add any extra time to getting the job done, in fact when they are done right they will save you a ton of time, allowing you to finally be able to relax! It is best to just get it done rather than letting it sit in your “to do” list.
